SANTE' III : THE MEDICAL DEVICE

After almost a year dedicated to research and development, Masknit is honored to present our Class 1 Type II Medical Device.

What determines the class and type of mask are the protection capacities that are determined by various tests, including bacterial filtration (BFE), particle filtration (PFE), bacterial diffusion on the surface of the mask ( BIOBURDEN), transpiration in differential pressure, the cytotoxicity of the materials used and the related hypoallergenic tests.

The classic ffp2 or disposable surgical masks start at 94% bacterial filtration, while our devices start at 98.6%, a significant difference in terms of protection.

The entire device is made of polyamide with intersected silver ions, which give the fabric bacteriostatic properties, i.e. prevent bacteria from reproducing once placed on the surface of the mask.

Inside the device there is an interchangeable TNT filter lasting 7 days each, which offers mechanical protection from viruses, bacteria, pathogens in general and also from microparticles such as smog.

The insertion of the filter is facilitated by some guides woven inside the mask, which also hold the filter in place.

The main feature of our device lies in a particular technology patented by us that makes the entire mask biocidal, that is, it kills viruses and bacteria without the need to be washed.

This antiviral technology is so strong that washing is unnecessary, since every 2 hours, the mask self-sanitizes, making washing only necessary for cleaning purposes and not for hygiene and prevention.

The last level of protection consists of an invisible water-repellent film, which protects against the famous '' droplets '', microscopic droplets of saliva that are emitted while a subject speaks.

We have tried to bring as many solutions as possible to the classic problems of disposable masks, such as the retroaurticular elastics, which in our case are composed of polyamide with silver ions, hypoallergenic and which does not irritate the skin even after long use, or for example the elongated nose pad to avoid fogging of the lenses of the glasses, or even the elastic micro bands placed at the ends of the mask to prevent it from slipping from the face while talking.

Mask and filter can be used for 7 consecutive 24-hour days before washing the mask and replacing the filter.

From an economic point of view, this guarantees great savings, amortizing the initial costs, in 90 days of use the customer spends 31 cents a day, against the 2 euro of ffp2 and 60 cents of the surgical.

In one year, the Sante 'costs 114 euros against 730 for ffp2 and 216 for disposable masks.

Translated into ecological savings instead, we would have 100 gr. of special waste in the whole year, against 1 kg and a half of the surgical and the 2 kg and over of the ffp2.
